Start Somewhere

All journeys start somewhere. And my virtual journey starts here on the internet, not unlike the thousands of independent travelers who have discovered my home first on the internet and then chosen it as a link in their planned journey. I meet all sorts of interesting and odd people and I thought I might share the stories and situations I have encountered over the years.

It is an unusual situation for all concerned. The traveler is generally on vacation and naturally expects a certain amount of change from everyday life, yet choosing to stay in a strangers home, while the host is both at work, and sharing the intimate space of their home with strangers. Subsequently, I often find myself up close and personal with details of my guests lives in an invisible sort of way. I’ve also made friends. More of which will follow.
